Singapore Icon  - A specially customised cake for an Irish gentleman's 65th Birthday.  As it is his 1st visit to Singapore, his loved ones have requested for a unique cake to surprise him.

The icons are all handmade with edible fondant.

Traditional Fruitcake -  What is Christmas without a good fruitcake?  Plump mixed fruits, currants, raisins, dried pineapple, orange zest, walnuts that are steeped in rum prior to baking - a medley of goodness with the aroma of rum and spices.

The fruitcake is topped with glazed apricots and walnuts and remains moist as the cake is bathe with rum even after baking.

For the health conscious , I have an Eggless Fruitcake (no egg subsitute is used) and the taste is just as delicious as the Traditional Fruitcake.  There is no compromise of taste and quality even when there are no eggs.

Have a Sugee Christmas - I have been asked again and again on whether I will be offering my sugee cake this Christmas.

I wanted it to be something different and unique so I decided to do 'Sugee the Snowman' and a 'Sugee Gift Loaf'.

 

 Sugee Cake is a traditional cake of Eurasian/Nonya origin. It is made of butter, semolina, almonds,eggs and brandy (I use XO brandy). Those who love sugee will appreciate its richness and flavour.

 

Sugee the Snowman will make a beautiful and unique Centrepiece and is suitable as a gift when  attending a party. 

 

I have kept the Sugee Gift Loaf simple and did not cover it with marzipan.  For those who love your sugee with marzipan, do let me know and I can customise it for you.

 

All the trimmings on the snowman are handmade with marzipan, likewise the ribbon on the Sugee Gift Loaf too.
